oUR TRAINING STANDARDS
TEAM TRAINING
Our handlers, dogs, and support teams undergo intense training and testing for both Chesapeake Search Dogs and National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR) certifications.
Dogs begin as early as 8 weeks of age. It takes more than a year to train a dog to the initial proficiency needed to respond to

NASAR K9 SARTECH III (Trailing or Area Search): Each member with their dog must demonstrate his/her proficiency with a dog in the field. This test is both written and practical and is required for a handler to be operational with our team.
